Dawn Waites — Psychic, Reiki/Energy Therapist, Licensed Massage Therapist
Dawn has been in communication with the spirit world (and beyond) for most of her life.
She has been seeing and communicating with Earthly beings and beings far beyond our own galaxy since childhood. Experiencing highly unusual events beyond her comprehension, she realized early on that she was very different from almost everyone she met.
Her psychic insight is one of her most treasured tools: a mirror for the soul, a portal for Spirit, and a guide for life’s deeper questions. Whether used on its own or woven into her readings, Dawn’s Tarot work offers clients clarity, validation, and a renewed sense of direction.
Her psychic sessions often draw on multiple modalities—including psychic insight, spiritual mediumship, and intuitive Tarot readings—to deliver messages with accuracy, warmth, and purpose.

History of Carrigain Commons

Carrigain Commons, located in the historical district of Concord, was built in 1799 by the Honorable Philip C. Carrigan, Esquire, attorney, NH Secretary of State (1805-1809), and Clerk of the Senate (1821-1823). The elaborate structure at 244 N. Main St.
was a wedding gift for his intended fiancé. The house was nearly complete when his intended had a change of heart, leaving him at the alter. Focusing on building up his law practice Philip traveled around central NH, selling the massive, unfinished home.

A genial, quick-witted gentleman, and literary master with a signature that would put John Hancock to shame, Philip Carrigain was quite eloquent and was often called upon to speak at numerous soirees about Concord. His many attributes include coining New Hampshire as the "Granite state," becoming one of the founders of Concord's The American Patriot newspaper, and in 1820, along with a group of local mountain men, helped name most of the Presidential Range peaks of the NH White Mountains.

Undoubtedly, Philip's most acclaimed feat was the preparation of the first highly detailed map of New Hampshire. Employed by the State of New Hampshire, Philip began this massive project in 1806. The map was not completed until 1813, and copies printed in 1816, due in part by vast underfunding by the state, and numerous boundary errors of existing town maps, as well as the labor some engraving process.

Philip Carrigain remained a bachelor. He spent many years traveling and surveying New Hampshire, proofing the map's engravings for accuracy, and continually petitioning the state for payment for his labors. After all of his painstaking effort, Philip died nearly penniless in Concord in 1842. He is buried nearby in the Old North Cemetery.

Carrigain Commons was purchased several times throughout the years, eventually being converted to a duplex in the late 1800's.

Philip's spirit still roams throughout Carrigain Commons. He and other spirits - a mysterious woman, a sailing merchant, a playful child - have been seen drifting through the hallways, floating through walls. Lights turn on and shut off, electrical outlets suddenly lose and regain power, mysterious, heavy footsteps have been heard in the upper floors by the current occupants.

Indeed, clients have remarked that they have heard a woman speaking, a hand gently placed on one's shoulder, or on their head, and objects have fallen off of walls right in front of them.
